About Oral Surgery of Erie
Located at 316 W 23rd St, Erie, PA 16502, Oral Surgery of Erie operates as a dentist serving Erie in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In Erie, popular practices book routine cleanings weeks ahead, so call early or ask to be put on a cancellation list; emergency and walk-in clinics are the exception. Across Pennsylvania, a new-patient exam with X-rays and a cleaning typically runs from about $150 to $350 without insurance, and many offices publish new-patient specials on their websites. Check the listing for hours, whether the office takes your insurance or Medicaid, languages spoken, wheelchair access and parking, then confirm by phone: insurance networks and providers change more often than the listings do.
Hours are published for 4 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 amβ4:30 pm. It is closed on Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Oral Surgery of Erie at (814) 453-4491; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is oralsurgeryoferie.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 26 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded dentists in Erie.
Erie is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Erie peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Dr. Simmons is incredible! Very kind and patient and will do his best to calm nervous patients. Although, we couldn't do my dental work today due to my anxiety, I would so try again with the office with the laughing gas next time, which I plan to do! :)

I scheduled what I believed was an appointment related to a surgical tooth implant and waited nearly a month to be seen. I even took a day off work to attend the appointment. One thing that seemed unusual from the start was being scheduled for 2:30 PM on a friday when the office closes at 3:00 PM, but I trusted that everything had been arranged properly. After arriving, I learned that the appointment was only a screening or consultation rather than the actual procedure I believed I had been scheduled for. This was never clearly communicated to me beforehand. As a result, I spent weeks waiting, took time off work, and left feeling like my time had been wasted. I felt misled because I believed I was coming in for treatment related to my implant, not simply to pay for an examination and imaging that did not accomplish the purpose of my visit. What made the experience even more frustrating was being charged two separate payments of $225, totaling $450, despite not receiving the treatment I expected. I do not feel the purpose of the appointment or the associated costs were adequately explained in advance. Had I known this was only a consultation, I would have made a different decision

My daughter has to get a couple teeth extracted. She was very nervous and the doctor did very well, he explained everything step by step and what he was doing and how it would feel and it made her less anxious. The office staff was very nice as well. I would definitely recommend this place!

I had to have a tooth extracted and was dreading this appointment. The front office staff were nice even after I was informed my appointment was actually scheduled for that morning not in the afternoon. They fit me in without a long wait. Dr. Simmons and his assistant made me feel relaxed and had that tooth out in a minute and no pain. I am highly recommending Dr. Simmons for your oral surgery.
